Batch of New Books In - Something for Everyone
I just got a handful of books in, ready to hit the shelf. It's an interesting assortment - a little something for everyone. Enjoy!
Peak Survival by Pam Withers
Another in the Take It to the Extreme series. This series is very good. The books are short but action packed. This one is centered around heli-skiing and snowboarding.
Introducing Vivien Leigh Reid, Daughter of the Diva by Yvonne Collins and Sandy Rideout
Fifteen-year-old Leigh is less than thrilled to be packed off to Ireland to spend the summer with her movie star mom.
Rise of a Hero by Hilari Bell
This is the second book in the Farsala Trilogy which started with Fall of a Kingdom. In it, the land of Farsala was facing invasion by the notoriously vicious warrior nation of Hrum. Now, in the second book, Rise of a Hero, the Hrum think they've nearly claimed Farsala, but Soraya, armed with new knowledge, believes she can still defeat the invaders if only she can get to fellow resistance members Jiaan and Kavi in time.
CC (Cape Cod) by Randi Reisfeld
Part of the Summer Share series. A house at the beach. A bunch of hot strangers. A three-month party that's off the hook. That about sums it up.
Nothing But the Truth (and a few white lies) by Justina Chen Headley
Fifteen-year-old Patty Ho, half Taiwanese and half white, never feels like she fits in, but when her overly-strict mother ships her off to Stanford for a math camp, Patty discovers that she's not as miserable as she thought she would be.
